Messina Group contract employees who average more than 30 hours for the previous six months are eligible to enroll in one of our ACA compliant health care plans. We offer a choice from six different Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Illinois plans including PPO, HMO and HSA. Coverage is available to both you and your eligible dependents. The cost is deducted from your weekly paycheck on an after-tax basis.
DENTAL, VISION, DISABILITY AND LIFE INSURANCE
Messina Group contract employees who are eligible for Health Care Insurance are also eligible to purchase Vision and Dental insurance from Delta Dental and Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability and Life Insurance from MetLife. Coverage is available to both you and your eligible dependents. The cost is deducted from your weekly paycheck on an after-tax basis.
After you have worked 30 days of employment, you are eligible to receive holiday pay. Messina Group recognizes the following holidays:

- Christmas Day
PAID TIME OFF (PTO)
Messina Group offers our contract employees Paid Time Offf (PTO). Contract employees earn 1 hour for every 40 hours worked, up to a maximum of 40 hours per year. Employees can use their accrued time to be paid for sick days, vacation days, bereavement leave, to care for sick family members, etc.
Direct deposit means one less trip to the bank. When you use direct deposit, your paycheck is automatically delivered to your bank account on payday. If you would rather receive a paper copy, we are more than happy to mail one to you.
Employees can opt-in to receive their pay stubs via email each week instead of receiving a copy sent via U.S. Mail.
